The Brave Ember: A Journey of Courage and Sustainability

 

Over a decade ago, my journey began with a deep dive into understanding the impact of chemicals on the body. My husband and I were facing infertility, which led me to discover the harmful effects of certain chemicals, like phthalates, present in everyday fragrance products. This revelation prompted a conscious shift in the products we allowed into our home.

The Spark of Candle Making

In 2021, I crafted homemade candles as stocking stuffers for my colleagues. The joy it brought to them and the fun I had ignited a passion for candle making. This hobby evolved into a quest for healthy fragrance oils and sustainable waxes, leading to the creation of candles that became cherished gifts.

The Birth of The Brave Ember

In the fall of 2023, The Brave Ember was officially launched. Choosing the right business name and mustering the courage to take a leap of faith took nearly two years. Our motto, "Be Brave. Be Courageous. Let Your Light Shine," encapsulates our mission to inspire others to overcome fear, embrace courage, and shine their unique light. It's about trying rather than regretting not trying and not allowing anything to dim your light.

Overcoming Doubts and Fears

Throughout this journey, I've battled thoughts of self-doubt and fear—"I'm too afraid," "I can't do this," "What if I fail?" Yet, I've learned to acknowledge these thoughts without letting them dominate my actions. It's okay to feel fear, but it's crucial not to let it overpower your potential. You are capable and worthy, designed for greatness.

This journey, while challenging, has been incredibly rewarding. I'm committed to continuously improving our products, making them cleaner and more eco-friendly. The Brave Ember is not just a business; it's a testament to bravery and the pursuit of a healthier, more sustainable world.
